We even got to see the white rhino.

 Again, the giraffe seem totally different in a "real" location. They never look right in zoos and parks, yet here they fit in perfectly, but still look vaguely Jurassic Park.

But the absolute highlight for me was the ostrich. It was just absolutely amazing to see these 140Kg - 180Kg birds with their chicks, behaving just the same as chicken and duck chicks do. It just showed how similar they are, despite the size.

The tour of the safari park isn't cheap. It was US$140 per person, but that is for 4 hours, includes admission and a tour guide with a small group of four people, so when you put that all into perspective it's not really that bad. But if it was a few of you going, or a family, it would be a sizable chunk out of your holiday budget.
