Yesterday didn't happen. Honestly. I got to the hotel, checked in, got to my hotel room, and spent virtually all day and night asleep.

I've honestly never felt quite so rotten and tired as I did yesterday.

Then late on in the afternoon I had a phone call from reception to say that a safari trip was going the next morning, would I like to go. Sure, I said. It's a 7am start, they said. Urgh, I thought. Last thing I need... another early night. But I was up at 6am, had breakfast, and ready for the trip to the Nairobi Safari Park.

We got to the safari park not long after 7:30, and then had a bit of a wait whilst the people at the gate seemingly did nothing. Another group ahead of us had been waiting for an hour to go in, and there was a lot of arm waving and shouting. We managed to still get in ahead of them.

The park is 100km2 just outside Nairboi. Amazingly close to Nairobi, actually. The first animals we saw were storks in the trees; these actually nest in trees all over central Nairobi, not just the park.
