Captain Slog 20:00EST

The day started uneventfully enough with breakfast. Soon check out time arrived, and I made my way down to the reception to pay my bill. The shuttle bus offered to take me down then, but I declined thinking that 11 till 3 would be too much. I took the shuttle at 12 and got there for just after 12:30 - I chanced it and checked in. The person on the counter thanked me for checking in early and said the plane I had booked was chocka, and if I wanted I could go on the 1:10 which was nearly empty...

Apologies in advance, you will get this after I land. Tuesday was a fairly uneventful day. I slept in & got up for breakfast. The news & papers reported that it was going to be a stinker weatherwise. Once again it was to be 80's &  very muggy. I chanced it & went up the road into Revere. I popped into Walgreen's, & put my photo's in for developing and they'd be ready in an hour or so.

I've had a very exciting day today... I woke up to the dulcet tones of a drill going through a wall, and so the alarm call that was booked wasn't really needed. I had my "continental" breakfast, and set off for Concord Massachusetts, and to find The Concord Consortium who are running the Virtual High School project.

I arrived at Boston's Logan Airport safely enough - as you probably worked out from the fact I told you I was about to land. It was then let us loose, and don't tell the passengers where to collect the luggage time... OK, there are 4 carrousels split over opposite ends of the terminal. And the one all the passengers chose was not the correct one - as someone came over the tannoy to tell us very helpfully half an hour later. Grrr.

California: San Jose Airport and the flight to Boston Print E-mail

Sorry, very short and to the point. I'll let the pictures tell the story

I got up bright and early, though a little nervy and sad. I got the car packed and made my way to Hertz to drop off the car and explain why it no longer has a wing mirror - I'm starting to think I've my own stalker!

So I filled the car with petrol and said goodbye to Neverlast. Then I filled in the exciting form at San Jose Airport - "who hit you?" I don't know!

I checked in with very little hassle, and settled down for the wait for the flight. Soon enough the flight was called, and this time I was ready for the journey - newspapers, books and CDs ready in case of Lucy.

I was very daring and had a window seat, closed my eyes and hoped... We did take off! The mountains were beautiful, the desert, the plains... I guess if I could sort the takeoff & landing I could quite enjoy it. It's now 9pm and we are approaching Boston. Lucy was on... CDs saved the day! The sunset on the plane is awesome - then again, as you've seen this last 2 weeks, I'm easily pleased.
